Study Plan: A study of Trillium grandiflorum "snowbunting clumping habits In various garden habitats.

- Multiyear observations of 20 "snowbuntings" clumping habits commencing in 2005
.
- Observations of single leaf, blooming, nonblooming, and fruiting stems.
- observations of aborting flowers in North Alabama environments.

Study Findings: (In Process).
-2005: 20 rhizomes purchased- 3 bloomed-3 aborted- 14 plants with no buds (see rhizome and bloom pictures-planted in January 2005).


Scientific Name: Trillium Grandiflorum "snowbunting"
Common Name(s): Smith's White Trillium,
Location: derived from Smith's farm in NY. Showed as "Snowbunting" in 1960 Chelse flower show by Mr. Major. Purchased from Paul Christain in 2005.
Description: Picture shows the 3 bloomers and 4 of the 20 rhizomes purchased.
