Common Name(s): Sweet Betsey, Large Toadshade, Whipporwill.
Location: Eastern USA
Description: Picture is 1 of 2 large natural cuneatum clumps that I have seen. Cuneatum does not usually produce off sets in North Alabama. Other pictures natural T. flexipes offsets in North Alabama where they usually produce very few offsets(0-2 per 100 rhizomes).

Scientific Name: Trillium Cuneatum (Madisom Clump),
Common Name(s): Fragrant White Toadshade
Location: SE USA
Description: The Madison clump with 38 offsets was rescued in 2004 from a clearcut woodland wedged between two large roots next to a tree stump. It took 30 minutes to cut the roots and rescue the clump. It is only 1 of 2 large T. cuneatum clumps I have seen in North Alabama (out of many thousands observed). This clump is being used in test to see if the offset production will continue in a less hardship environment. The picture to the left is an adjacent cuneatum cluster (seperate rhizomes) rescued and used as a control in my test.
