Subject: Trillium recurvatum
discussions.
Submitter: John
Gyer
Discussion:The attached pics are of two
forms of T. recurvatum. 'Betty' is self sterile and spreads quickly
by relatively long rhizome off shoots. Its stems are slender and
when it first comes up the plant is quite dark.
'Stubby' is far more robust, fully self fertile, and clumps slowly
from short rhizome offsets.
The differences in flower structure are obvious in the pictures.
The small units on the scale are 1/16 inch.
